Derek Kelley #73 returned to racing this past weekend with a vengeance

after suffering injury at Red Bud.  Kelley experienced a brief bout of bad luck

during qualifying but was able to recover quickly and secure a starting gate for

the main Motos of the day.  Though his shoulder isn’t fully healed, he was able

to go 19/17 respectively in Motos 1 &2 securing his season first top 20th finish,

and now has 6 precious points by his name.

Matt Hubert #647 slid into a 24th qualifying position with a 2.16 lap time;

locking up a decent gate pick for Moto 1.  Hubert crashed and lost his exhaust

pipe during Moto 1; luckily, the team was able to help him rebound and line up

for Moto 2.  With the bike ready to go, Hubert launched of the start mid-pack

and climbed his way to his very own season best; 25th in Moto 2.  He’s happy

to see the results of all his hard work and looks forward to Washougal and

a top 20 finish.
