The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA hosted round 9 of the Monster Energy Supercross Series. A race that turned out to be one of the most intense and entertaining rounds of the season, and that’s saying a lot based on the past 8 weeks.

Dylan Merriam returned to racing after an injury forced him out of the competition for a few weeks. He looked fast during qualifying with a lap time of 53.461 and had a promising ride in Heat #2. Unfortunately, some challenges in the LCQ caused him to finish 20th and pack up for the evening. Dylan is excited to be back racing and looks forward to making the Main Event in Daytona this weekend.
Jimmy Weeks had his best ride all season in ATL – He placed 21st during day qualifiers, battled in his Heat Race to a 10th place finish and WON the LCQ. Weeks rode in his first Main Event* of the season and secured 3 Championship points. (*Excluding Triple Crown Events) All of us here at TPJ Racing are extremely proud of what Jimmy has accomplished – his dedication to the sport on and off the track is inspiring. Keep it up!!

Lane Shaw did not race in Atlanta due to an old injury flair up; but he looks forward to returning in Daytona.

Following a rigorous training regimen is hard work; but Kevin Moranz is proving that it pays off. This past weekend he looked smooth and confident as he rode to a 6th place finish in his Heat race. A solid 14th place finish in the Main Event (a season best) earned him 9 Championship points; he currently sits 19th in the series. Kevin dedicated his Atlanta ride to his mechanic Drew and the entire TPJ Racing team.
