Tampa, Supercross

Tampa, FL – February 15, 2020

This week the Monster Energy Supercross series made its way across the country to the Sunshine State for round 7.  The race marked the debut of the 250SX East Coast Championship and we welcomed Team riders Kevin Moranz and Lane Shaw to the show.

Jimmy Weeks Tampa recap in his own words: “Tough day at Tampa, DNF in the heat race after casing the triple and jamming my wrist pretty hard.  Spun on the start in the LCQ and was basically last around the first turn and ended up 7th right behind 6th at the end of the race.  Felt like we had the speed, just need to get out of stupid situations, time to regroup and on to Dallas.”  Jimmy definitely has the speed; this weekend in Dallas should be a good one for us all!

Lane Shaw’s Tampa recap in his own words: “Felt good to be back at the races, I love dirt bikes! I have a couple of things to work on, but excited to get back to work.  Onward & upward! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING TEAM!”

Kevin Moranz Tampa recap in his own words: “Tough night but we walked away safe to fight another day.  In heat one my left side was landed on immediately after the holeshot sending me to the ground and bending my bars.  Never gave up as I came from last back to 14th.  I am completely fine just start in the LCQ cost me, straight up.  My head is in the right place and I know where I belong…Thank you to my team TPJ racing and all our supporters…”   We look forward to seeing BIG things from Lane and Kevin in the coming weeks as the East Coast Series progresses.
