Dallas, TX – February 22, 2020
Everything is bigger in Texas…and the same is true for the TPJ Racing presence in the pits. Being our hometown race, we did it up big this past weekend! Thanks to all the sponsors, fans, family and friends who came out to support us.
This weekend marked the second Triple Crown Race of the year and the first one for the 250SX East Coast Class.
450SX
Our lone 450SX soldier Jimmy Weeks had one of his best rides to date, qualifying 20th. He did have to lineup for the daytime LCQ but a second place finish secured his spot in the 3 nighttime Main Events. Weeks secured 4 valuable series points with his finishes of 20, 16 and 17th. He currently sits 26th in the 450SX Point Standings.
250SX
Lane Shaw was excited and ready for racing in Dallas. He had a qualifying time that would normally have got him a spot in the night show; unfortunately his 10th place finish in the daytime LCQ meant he would miss out. He was happy with his performance overall and looks forward to the next round.
Kevin Moranz also had to race the LCQ where he got a great jump of the gate and was able to ride to a second place finish. Main Event #1 was a bit rough for him, but he came back in Main Event #2 with an impressive 14th place finish. Moranz gained 4 series points and sits 26th overall for the 250SX East Coast.
