2019 Press Release

Princeton, TX. – The Professional Journey (TPJ) in association with FLY Racing, Karcher, BikeBandit.com and a host of supporting sponsors is excited to announce the return to Monster Energy/AMA Supercross for the 2019 season.

Continuing our commitment to supporting elite and emerging Privateer Athletes at the highest level of professional Supercross racing, Team TPJ/FLY Racing is proud to provide the necessary infrastructure and resources required for Team Athletes to live their dreams and ultimately achieve their goals.

Returning for his second year with the Team, Ben LaMay #41 will take on the best of the best in the premiere 450SX class. After finishing 21st Overall in 2018 Supercross points, LaMay was arguably the Top Privateer, and will use his success as motivation to climb even higher in the rankings for 2019.

Austin Politelli #99 joins the Team full time for 2019 to prove he belongs in the conversation as one of the elite Privateers of the 450SX class looking to make the jump to a factory ride. Always known as the “fast local”, Politelli will feel right at home in Angel Stadium for Round #1 and should turn some heads along the way.

AP99Team TPJ/FLY Racing will also field a competitive 250SX class with Mason Wharton #767 and Blaine Silveira #446. Both Athletes have had a solid off-season of preparation and are eager to see the gate drop and where they shuffle in against the best riders in the World. Unfortunately, due to an off season injury, Tanner Basso #171 will make his return to racing later in the season. John Short will also make a late return to racing; at the Minnesota Supercross.

In addition to the Official Team Riders, Team TPJ will also continue to provide our transport services for many other talented Athletes including Heath Harrison #80, Ryan Breece #86, Vann Martin #214, Cheyenne Harmon #118, Lane Shaw #986 and Ryan Surratt. As part of our transport services, Athletes are able to continue their quest as a professional racer by being provided a means for transporting their race bike, gear and tools, as well as, a professional pit area in the pro paddock.

New for 2019, and certainly consistent with the Team Mission, Team TPJ/FLY Racing is proud to be offering support services on Sunday as part of the Futures SX program offered by Feld Entertainment at select rounds of the 2019 Supercross schedule. Team TPJ/FLY Racing will be supporting several amateur riders as they battle for points to earn their professional racing license.

“We feel our Team provides a critical component to professional Supercross, and that without us in the paddock, too many hard working and deserving Athletes may not otherwise be on the starting gate each and every week.”, according to Team Owner and Manager, Ted Parks. “Furthermore, we are proud to represent our tremendous sponsors who make this all possible, and who also support our philosophy that with the right support, products and opportunity that Team TPJ/FLY Racing provides, perhaps a rider can rise to the top.”

Team TPJ/FLY Racing would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: WPS/FLY Racing, Karcher, BikeBandit.com, Lucas Oil, Pirelli Tires, Acerbis Plastic, Magik Graphics, Rekluse Clutches, VP Racing Fuel, Engine Ice, C&L Products, No Toil, Torc1 Racing, Bolt, MoTool, SDG Seats, Galfer, Tokyo Mods, DSC Construction, Monarch Heavy Haul, Extreme Recycling, California Coast Plumbers, Ryder95, Boyce Excavating, 3D Designs
