The TPJ Fly Racing team travelled to Salt Lake City, Utah for the fifteenth round of Monster Energy Supercross.
This was the final west coast round of the series before we head back to the east coast to wrap the tour.
In Salt Lake City, TPJ Fly Racing riders had the opportunity to take part in Supercross press prior to race day. We are extremely grateful for the opportunities presented to the TPJ Fly Racing team and its athletes to help promote our team and the sponsors who make racing possible for us week after week. Tyler Enticknap and Chad Cook were able to do some live television interviews for local news stations in preparation for Saturday’s event.
On Saturday, the pits opened to thousands of Supercross fans. The TPJ Fly Racing team had a great time signing autographs at our meet and greet — hundreds of fans waited in line to chat with our riders and get their own autographed posters.
This week, team owner Ted Parks led the American flag during opening ceremonies yet again – but this time he had a new outfit. Parks was outfitted in white from head to toe, and had a stylin’ American flag watch to boot. His outfit was a hit with the thousands of Supercross fans in the packed stadium.
This week all five riders were able to qualify for the night show out of timed qualifying. Nick Schmidt was the fastest qualifying lap in 450 group B and qualified 20th overall. Schmidt would go on to qualify for the main event from the semis and Adam Enticknap would battle his way through the 450 LCQ to earn his qualifying position in the main event.
Thanks to DSC Construction, both Schmidt and Enticknap received their entry fee refund for qualifying for the main event in Salt Lake City. It’s thanks to companies like DSC Construction that we are able to help these up and coming athletes move through the ranks.
While it may have been a tough night for Chad Cook, Tyler Enticknap and Broc Shoemaker who were unable to qualify out of the LCQs, the season isn’t quite over yet. We still have two rounds remaining before we begin the preparation for outdoors.
We want to extend a special thanks to all of the sponsors who go out of their way to support our program. The companies backing the TPJ Fly Racing team are pivotal in making race weekends happen for these talented athletes.
We are looking forward to the final east coast round in East Rutherford, New Jersey this weekend at Met Life Stadium. We hope to see lots of TPJ Fly Racing fans there!
